Seiz Water Rescue Gloves now available from Pac Fire

Seiz Water Rescue Gloves | Swift Water Rescue PPE
  • Seiz Water Rescue Gloves | Swift Water Rescue PPE

Pac Fire is pleased to introduce the Seiz Water Rescue Gloves to the Australasian market, expanding our specialist PPE offering for technical and swift water rescue operations.

Developed by leading manufacturer Seiz, the Water Rescue glove has been purpose-built for use in demanding environments in and around water, where grip, protection and control are critical.

Traditionally, working in wet and unpredictable conditions has involved compromise. Responders have often had to choose between heavy-duty gloves that restrict movement or lighter options that struggle to deliver the protection and durability required in real-world rescue scenarios.

The Seiz Water Rescue Gloves are designed to bridge that gap.

The glove is constructed from multiple, complementary textiles that balance protection with flexibility. A neoprene back-of-hand provides a close, secure fit, while the palm incorporates a blended elastane and polyamide structure with reinforced Amara leather in high-wear areas. A silicone print across the palm enhances grip in wet conditions, helping maintain control when it matters most.

Protection remains a key focus throughout the design. A Kevlar® lining delivers cut resistance for demanding operational tasks, while rib-stitched neoprene knuckle protection adds durability in high-impact areas. Reflective piping across the fingers improves visibility in low-light environments, supporting safer operations in complex rescue situations.

Attention to practical use is evident in the glove’s cuff design. A neoprene cuff with hook-and-loop fastening allows for a secure fit, while an integrated carabiner attachment point provides a convenient way to stow or carry the gloves when not in use.

The Seiz Water Rescue Gloves are certified to EN 388:2016 and EN 407:2020 (selected clauses), offering confidence in their performance across a range of operational requirements.

Having been featured on the cover of Asia Pacific Fire Magazine (January 2026), the Seiz Water Rescue Gloves are already gaining recognition within the industry as a purpose-built solution for modern water rescue applications.

As the authorised distributor for Seiz across Australasia, Pac Fire is proud to make this latest innovation available to local emergency services, rescue crews and technical response teams.

Let’s talk about GORE-TEX CROSSTECH® PYRAD® Rescue Stretch

GORE-TEX CROSSTECH® PYRAD® Rescue Stretch sets a new standard in personal protection for technical rescue, bringing together proven GORE® technologies to create a solution that delivers previously unheard-of performance and freedom of movement.

That’s great – but what does all that mean?

Until now, protection for rescue work has always involved compromise – either working in more insulated and robust structural gear that over protects for technical rescue situations, or operating in lightweight suits that offer minimum protection and quickly become uncomfortable when facing inclement weather.

GORE-TEX CROSSTECH® PYRAD® Stretch is an innovative fabric laminate from W.L Gore & Associates. It combines multiple GORE-TEX technologies to create a new fabric that sets the bar for breathable rescue protective wear. Here we break down the features to give you a better idea of what your getting with GORE-TEX CROSSTECH® PYRAD® Rescue Stretch.

GORE-TEX CROSSTECH® is liquid proof technology that prevents penetration of blood and body fluids that can contain viruses and bacteria – a critical feature for modern-day first responders.

PYRAD® product technology provides heat, flame and flash-fire protection for rescue workers, defence personnel and industrial workers. The antistatic fabric also helps to protect against arc flash incidents.

Built to move with the body – the GORE-TEX CROSSTECH® PYRAD® Stretch laminate is a 4-way stretch fabric delivering agility and comfort to the user. Full garment stretch technology maximises elasticity and wearer comfort achieving 13% stretch at 30N and 95% recovery after just one minute.

GORE-TEX proven technology makes the fabric durably wind and waterproof to EN 343 Class 4 – full weather garment certification.

In short revolutionary GORE-TEX CROSSTECH® PYRAD® Rescue Stretch is a game changer for technical rescue, combining several of Gore’s proven world leading technologies in a unique rescue application.

Pac Fire is the Australasian distributor and stockist of the Rescue Stretch garment.

Changes to Pac Fire’s primary drip torch offering - introducing the FireBug

In November 2025 the supplier of the Pacific Fire Lighter, Pac Fire’s primary drip torch offering, ceased operations and closed. The sudden closure of the manufacturer of the Pacific Fire Lighter left limited BCRPFL FW G drip torch units and spare parts in the market which were exhausted in February 2026. There is no further access to the drip torch or spare parts.

Changes to Pac Fire’s primary drip torch offering - introducing the FireBug

Pac Fire is pleased to announce we have become a proud stockist and supplier of the FCT14505 FireBug 4L drip torch unit and its spare parts. The full range appears below and is available to add to your Pac Fire Online cart.

Pac Fire welcomes “Commando” and “Quickee” to the Blowhard range

Blowhard is an innovative company with a team dedicated to putting the needs of firefighters first. Their core focus is creating solutions that fire services can integrate into their processes to make them more powerful and efficient.

It is this focus that has led to the creation of two new fans – the Commando and the Quickee.

Both new fans utilise positive pressure ventilation (PPV) whereby they remove smoke, heat and other combustion products from a structure during or after a fire. The Blowhard difference is the use of Jet Stream technology rather than the more common “cone” airflow. Jet Stream technology utilises a concentrated, high-pressure “jet stream” dedicated to ventilation which consistently out performs the “cone” model. Basically what this means is you need fewer fans based on “jet stream” technology to ventilate an area – saving valuable space on trucks, time in deployment and money on additional units.

Pac Fire welcomes BlowHard Quickee & Commando

Weight, shape, size, balance, and carrying options have been major considerations during the design and construction of Commando and Quickee.

Commando gives you the all-in-one power to take on any situation. Pushing the limits of battery technology and fan engineering, BlowHard’s Commando brings unmatched performance with a footprint and weight similar to that of the BH-20. The Commando redefines battery powered PPV with its ability to outperform some petrol driven fans, yet light weight and ergonomic enough to be carried and set up by one person.

The Quickee expands on the technology and benefits introduced in the BH-20. It is engineered to increase performance while taking up less space. BlowHard’s ErgoFold technology has been taken to the next level to create a more powerful, smaller, lighter, more manoeuvrable 508mm fan designed to increase the performance and efficiency of the firefighter.

Both fans incorporate new Blowhard features which include adjustable angle path lighting and battery charge indicators.

Pac Fire is proud to offer Blowhard’s revolutionary ventilation technology throughout Australia and New Zealand. Please contact us for more information or for a detailed quote on the BH-20, Commando or Quickee.

A new tool in the fight against heat stress

New Product: The Blowhard Misting Ring

Blowhard Misting RingFirefighters experience high amounts of physical and mental stress when attending an incident. Environmental factors like extreme heat, humidity or cold contribute to conditions that may have an adverse impact on a firefighters health.

In Australia, heat stress has been highlighted as a leading cause of injury during fire suppression.

Dangers like heat stress can be mitigated with the implementation of a rest and recovery strategy that includes measures like Active Cooling. Active Cooling is the process of using external methods or devices to reduce the bodies elevated core temperature.

With this in mind, Blowhard have created an accessory that aids in Active Cooling. The Misting Ring transforms your Blowhard fan into an effective recovery tool that assists in combating heat stress.

It takes just seconds to fit the Misting Ring to the front of a Blowhard Fan using the super strong, magnetic adaptor. When attached to a regular domestic hose, the 8 low pressure nozzles create a super fine mist which aids in firefighter recovery by helping to lower the core body temperature after training or an incident.
