Pac Fire will be on the ground at AFAC26, connecting with emergency services professionals from across Australasia and showcasing the latest in protective equipment and apparel. You’ll find us at stand 200, where our team will be ready to talk through what’s new and what’s next.

AFAC remains one of the key events on the industry calendar, bringing together fire and emergency service agencies, suppliers and specialists in one place. It’s always a great opportunity to catch up, share knowledge and see how the sector continues to evolve. Pac Fire is pleased to introduce the Seiz Water Rescue Gloves to the Australasian market, expanding our specialist PPE offering for technical and swift water rescue operations.

Developed by leading manufacturer Seiz, the Water Rescue glove has been purpose-built for use in demanding environments in and around water, where grip, protection and control are critical.

Traditionally, working in wet and unpredictable conditions has involved compromise. Responders have often had to choose between heavy-duty gloves that restrict movement or lighter options that struggle to deliver the protection and durability required in real-world rescue scenarios.

The Seiz Water Rescue Gloves are designed to bridge that gap.

The glove is constructed from multiple, complementary textiles that balance protection with flexibility. A neoprene back-of-hand provides a close, secure fit, while the palm incorporates a blended elastane and polyamide structure with reinforced Amara leather in high-wear areas. A silicone print across the palm enhances grip in wet conditions, helping maintain control when it matters most.

Protection remains a key focus throughout the design. A Kevlar® lining delivers cut resistance for demanding operational tasks, while rib-stitched neoprene knuckle protection adds durability in high-impact areas. Reflective piping across the fingers improves visibility in low-light environments, supporting safer operations in complex rescue situations.

Attention to practical use is evident in the glove’s cuff design. A neoprene cuff with hook-and-loop fastening allows for a secure fit, while an integrated carabiner attachment point provides a convenient way to stow or carry the gloves when not in use.

The Seiz Water Rescue Gloves are certified to EN 388:2016 and EN 407:2020 (selected clauses), offering confidence in their performance across a range of operational requirements.

Having been featured on the cover of Asia Pacific Fire Magazine (January 2026), the Seiz Water Rescue Gloves are already gaining recognition within the industry as a purpose-built solution for modern water rescue applications.

That’s great – but what does all that mean?

Changes to Pac Fire’s primary drip torch offering - introducing the FireBug

In November 2025 the supplier of the Pacific Fire Lighter, Pac Fire’s primary drip torch offering, ceased operations and closed. The sudden closure of the manufacturer of the Pacific Fire Lighter left limited BCRPFL FW G drip torch units and spare parts in the market which were exhausted in February 2026. There is no further access to the drip torch or spare parts.

Pac Fire is pleased to announce we have become a proud stockist and supplier of the FCT14505 FireBug 4L drip torch unit and its spare parts. The full range appears below and is available to add to your Pac Fire Online cart.

It is important to note, during the transition, that the spare parts for these two drip torches are not interchangeable. Use only genuine spare parts designed for your drip torch. Using another brands parts on your drip torch may effect the units operation and your safety. It may also damage the product and void warranty.

The festive season has started at Pac Fire.

The festive season has started at Pac Fire.


The stores have dusted off the Michael Bublé and Mariah Carey Christmas hits – it’s a sign, the festive season is here.

It seems like it’s the right time to wish our customers and suppliers a very Merry Christmas and advise everyone of our upcoming holiday shutdown.

Pac Fire will close for 2025 on Friday 19th December. We will reopen for 2026 on Thursday 8th January. During the closure our team remains available for emergencies. Please email urgent@pacfire.com.au or call +61 405 330 266 for urgent assistance during the shutdown.

In the lead up to Christmas please remember it’s a busy time for freight companies so add on a few extra days for processing, shipping and delivery if you want your order to arrive before the big day. We’d recommend Christmas orders placed before the 5th December to ensure it’s received before the Christmas break.

Merry Christmas from the Pac Fire team

Can you believe it’s November and the Christmas decorations are already out in the stores?

With Christmas and New Years just around the corner it seems like the right time to pass on Seasons Greetings to our customers and suppliers and advise everyone of our upcoming holiday shutdown.

Pac Fire will close for 2024 on Friday 20 December and reopen for 2025 on Monday 6 January. During the closure our team remains available for emergencies. Please email urgent@pacfire.com.au or call 0405 330 266 for urgent assistance during the shutdown.

If you’re browsing for Christmas – ensure that you have your orders for tools and accessories are placed before 6 December for delivery before the holidays. The deadline for custom helmet orders is 15 November.

During the Christmas Holidays you can browse the website but please take note quote requests and non-urgent emails will not be processed until our return on 6 January.
